Life at Adi Yogpeeth

A Day Lived
as Practice.

Ashram life is more than where you stay. It is a rhythm of practice, study, simple living, community and quiet reflection.

Ashram Life

Let the rhythm
teach you.

When yoga becomes part of everyday life, practice does not end when the class ends.

Residential learning gives you the opportunity to move through each day with greater awareness — from your first practice in the morning to study, meals, conversation, rest and time for yourself.

At Adi Yogpeeth, the residential environment is intended to support the deeper purpose of your yoga journey: to practise, understand, observe and gradually integrate what you learn.

01

Practice

Return to the mat each day and give your practice time, attention and consistency.

02

Presence

Slow down enough to notice the relationship between practice, study and daily life.

03

Community

Learn alongside people from different backgrounds while sharing a simple residential rhythm.

A Day in the Ashram

A rhythm of practice,
study and stillness.

Residential Living

A place to live
the practice.

Living at the school changes the pace of the experience. Instead of travelling between accommodation and classes, practice, study and everyday life share the same environment.

  • Residential learning environment
  • Time between classes for rest and reflection
  • Shared spaces for connection and conversation
  • A simpler rhythm away from everyday distractions

Food & Nourishment

Simple food.
Clearer attention.

Food is part of the residential rhythm. Meals are an opportunity to pause, nourish the body and return to the day's practice with greater awareness.

The emphasis of the experience is simplicity rather than excess, allowing nourishment to support the wider learning environment.

Our Community

Different journeys.
One shared practice.

Students arrive with different backgrounds, goals and reasons for studying yoga.

Some come to deepen their personal practice. Others want to become teachers, explore a particular tradition or spend meaningful time learning in Rishikesh.

Residential life creates the space for these individual journeys to meet — in the classroom, on the mat and in the everyday moments between them.

Beyond the Classroom

Rishikesh becomes
part of the learning.

Life at an ashram does not exist separately from its surroundings. Rishikesh offers a setting where yoga, the Ganges, Himalayan landscapes, temples and a long tradition of spiritual practice become part of the wider experience.

Yoga becomes deeper when practice is no longer something you do, but something you learn to live.
